Great news from our Research and Innovation team! NTS Retail has been invited to present its project for Watson Build 2018 on November 29th at the European Finals in Barcelona. This means we get to compete for a chance to present at the Global Finals in February 2019.
If you’ve been following us over the past few months, you’ve probably read about our efforts to explore the possibilities of using robotic assistants as welcome agents in the conjunction with our welcoming and queuing solution NTS welcome manager. Our robotic concierge, whom we affectionately call “Roberta”, has sparked quite a bit of interest and we can’t wait to show what we’ve been working on.
There is a lot of potential in implementing AI into typical workflows in information-driven retail environments. In telco retail, welcome agents like “Roberta” can provide a valuable service by determining the purpose of the customer’s visit, processing that information and making it available to the consultants.
