Austrian telco operator LIWEST has introduced a new, innovative shop concept, welcoming its customers into the all-new “Erlebniswelt” within the PlusCity shopping center in Pasching, Upper Austria. As Upper Austria’s leading cable network provider and key innovator, LIWEST placed great importance on creating an engaging showcase for their extensive portfolio of TV, Internet, mobile and fixed line services and products. As LIWEST has been using a Point of Sale software solution by NTS Retail since 2009, it came as a natural transition for the two Upper Austrian companies to collaborate on this latest flagship project.
“We’re happy to have found a specialist partner in the realm of store digitalization. As an international solutions partner for telecom operators around the world, NTS Retail is able to provide insights and expertise from similar projects”, said DI Dr. Stefan Gintenreiter, executive manager at LIWEST.
The new store concept strengthens the focus on the customer, creating an ideal environment for extensive, personalized consulting services. NTS Retail’s digital tools provide comprehensive assistance in the process. At this stage, a smart queue management solution is in place, which helps consultants to queue in customers based on their requests. Customers know the predicted waiting time beforehand, so they can decide whether they want to spend the time in the store or come back later. Shortly before the set appointment, the customer receives a text message reminder. The process works without impersonal ticketing, instead a photo is taken, or an avatar is created, so employees can easily recognize returning customers.
During the product consultation, another web-based solution by NTS Retail comes into play: NTS sales assistant provides information on products, bundles, contracts and additional services. The info is displayed clearly and offers a comparative product overview, thus facilitating the decision process for the customer.
“Being a globally active company, we have been immersed in the subject of digital transformation from the early stages on. Telecom operators are progressing at their own pace. With their new store concept, LIWEST certainly is among the early adopters and we are proud to contribute with our software products”, said Günther Schrammel, CEO of NTS Retail.
As a next step, LIWEST intends to add various system integrations, which should lead to an even faster process handling and is also planning to introduce self-service terminals to the new store.
